Linn Ullmann's touching novel premiers on The National Scene in Bergen, Norway.

A divorce. A love without boundaries. A daughter's infinite longing for a distant, hard-working mother and a father who lives abroad.
Through a web of moments, notes, lists and sound recordings, a woman explores her upbringing. She looks backwards in time and depicts her relationship with her father and mother. The three were never together. They were never one family. In her childhood, she spent the summers at her father's country house in Sweden, while living with her mother for the remainder of the year. Both parents were great artists working hard on their own careers.
In a playful and poetic form, the theatre version of Unquiet tells a sore love story. We see a child's desire to unite the family after a divorce, a hard-working mum who tries to handle motherhood, and a father delving into other projects.
The actors Susann Bugge Kambestad, Marianne Nielsen and Gerald Pettersen take us through the many layers of the story. With both humour and deep sincerity, they portray the complex relations and emotions we all recognize.
Unquiet premiers on August 15th 2020. The play is in Norwegian.

This is not the first stage production of Unquiet. A Swedish version of the play premiered at the Stockholm theatre Dramaten in November 2018, and was played for full theatres.
